eToro, a multi-asset investment platform, released its interim financial results today for the quarter ended 30 June 2021.

The financial service provider reported strong growth in registered users and net trading income.
eToro’s significant user growth:
- eToro added 2.6 million new registered users in Q2 2021, a 121% increase from the same period a year ago.
(…) in line with this, funded accounts grew by 158% year on year to 2 million as of 30 June 2021

- The company had a total of 23 million users worldwide.
eToro’s total trading commissions boosted by solid crypto interest:
- The company’s total trading commissions were $362 million.
This expansion results from retail investors’ strong interest in cryptocurrencies (totaling $264M, a near 23-fold multiple from last year).
eToro added ten new crypto assets in recent months, including Dogecoin ($DOGE) and Shiba Inu ($SHIBxM). They also expanded their services by offering ETH 2.0 staking.
